So this won't work if I already blocked and then unblocked him after 2 weeks of breaking up I guess? He had such horrible anger problems I was so upset and told him it was over. I couldn't take it anymore. I didn't want to break up but I told him I had enough emotional abuse and that I was sorry but it's over. He wanted to keep me in his life to support me, etc, but I wasn't ready to just be demoted to a "friend" after all we went through. Mind you, we are in our 40's. He's not doing well with money, is having to live at home with his parents still, and lives far from me, about an hour and a half. He justified not planning on seeing me as much because of his up-and-down work schedule which he himself creates, since he's an acting teacher. I became resentful because we were averaging seeing each other 2x a month. I said I need a partner who is next to me, physically, not long distance. And that when we first began this relationship in January this year 2024 these things weren't a problem for him, now they are. I also reminded him that this was nowhere near how he set the tone for our very serious relationship, and he even took me to look at engagement rings, even mentioning it to my mother! After 2 months of us being together since January he pulled back. We started having arguments because of his uncontrollable temper and anger issues. This was a constant problem in our relationship and we both grew weary and tired and shut down from it, mostly him. I became unhappy because I felt blindsided and led on. He tried to insist that wasn't the case. So I also noticed his physical affection was waning ...the hugs and kisses were dialing down. I tried to encourage him that I need this from him, especially since we go so many days and sometimes a week or 2 without seeing each other. None of this was nothing new to him. ___________________ Right now, it's been 2 weeks and I unblocked him on all social media yesterday. I decided to reach out to him yesterday through text to test the waters. He did reply but he didn't reveal anything about his feelings, which always bothered me since I'm very open (I'm a May Taurus woman). The text convo went like this: I said, "Hello. How are you?" He replied "Hello. How are you?" I said , "I'm fine. I just wondered." He said, "I think of you, you blocked me in a lot of stuff, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc. I thought you never wanted to talk to me again." I replied, " I was distraught over the realization that it wasn't working out between us." He said, " I see :( Hug" The conversation was moving rather quickly, or so I thought. After 10 minutes I didn't get anything else from him, so I said, "I think of you too." I got no response. That was last night, 24 hours ago as of now. Since we aren't following each other on Instagram anymore even though I unblocked him on there and WhatsApp, (I'm just following his lead since he didn't end up following me again or anything. I also noticed he wasted NO time in removing our 1 picture together he put up on his IG feed, which made me very hurt, since he had kept his EX girlfriend before me on there for a whole year (and claims he HATES her). It makes no sense to me and he would get SO angry at me for asking him to please take them down because it makes me feel so uncomfortable and angry that he has no pictures of us, but all kinds of pictures of her and him up there! This caused several fights, which only made me more resentful toward him, rightly so. I remember the time he finally put up a picture of us was after an argument, not on his own doing. I never went through this with ANY man before. I also have to add.... the final time we talked (in which he blew up at me again, causing a raging argument between us, he had the audacity to use that against ME - he got this negative tone of voice saying "and you gave me so much grief over this" as if I was the one doing something wrong!? I told him it's amazing how you're bringing up Instagram when it's the LAST thing you ever want me to bring up, and that you don't care about what's on Instagram. Well back to tonight... it really makes me wonder since his small "acting business" relies HEAVILY on Instagram! How he can it doesn't matter and yet, show the world that I'm no longer a part of his life anymore BUT KEEPING THE EX GF ON THERE WHILE BEING WITH ME FOR 7 MONTHS is just messed up. Especially as an adult. If anyone read this whole speech, can you please give some insight and advice here? I'd greatly appreciate it because I don't know if the rules in this video even apply to me at this point.
